Complete Rigging Services
Rigging is the part of an event nobody is supposed to notice: certified riggers, engineered load paths and documented calculations that let lighting, audio, drape, scenic and chandeliers hang safely over a room full of people.
Every suspended element on a job has to answer three questions before it goes up — what does it weigh, what is it hanging from, and what happens if the load shifts. We answer those on paper first. Plots are drawn with point loads marked, hardware is specified to rated capacity with a safety factor, and the venue or structural engineer gets documentation before a motor leaves the shop.
Typical scopes include truss and motor systems for lighting and video, ceiling drape and fabric installations, chandelier and statement fixture suspension, scenic and set wall flying, banner and signage hangs, and temporary structural support where a venue cannot take the load directly. In tents we work from the manufacturer’s rated points — Sperry, Navitrak, frame and clearspan structures each have their own limits, and we do not improvise around them.
Venues care about who is on the roof. Our riggers carry current certification, we pull permits where the jurisdiction requires them, and we coordinate directly with venue engineering, fire marshals and general contractors. On historic properties, hotel ballrooms and museums we work to whatever attachment restrictions the building imposes, using free-standing ground support when overhead points are not available or not permitted.
Because rigging is usually the first thing in and the last thing out, we schedule it as the spine of the production plan — lighting, drape, video and scenic all hang off decisions made in that first pass. Handling it in-house alongside our lighting, draping and fabrication crews removes the vendor-to-vendor gap where most load-in delays and most safety problems actually live. We work across the East Coast and the Caribbean from our Connecticut facility.
Weddings & private estates
Chandelier and floral installation suspension, ceiling drape and canopy hangs, tent point loads and ground support where a historic venue will not allow attachment — engineered so nothing visible tells the guest it is temporary.
Corporate, expo & touring
Truss and motor systems for general sessions, LED wall and projection support, banner and booth hangs on expo floors, load documentation for venue engineering, and permit coordination on jurisdictions that require it.
Common questions
Are your riggers certified?
Yes. Rigging is performed by certified riggers working to documented load calculations, with hardware specified to rated capacity and inspected before every install.
Can you hang from a venue that will not allow attachment points?
Yes. Where a historic property, hotel or museum restricts overhead attachment, we design free-standing ground support and truss towers that carry the same load without touching the structure.
Do you provide load calculations for the venue?
We provide point-load plots and calculations for venue engineering, general contractors and fire marshals as part of the standard pre-production package, before anything is hung.
Can you rig inside a tent?
Yes, within the tent manufacturer’s rated points and wind loading. Sperry, Navitrak, frame and clearspan structures all carry different limits, and we design to those limits rather than around them.
