Aruba’s appeal to planners is its weather: it sits outside the main hurricane belt and stays dry most of the year, which makes it one of the safer Caribbean choices for a date that cannot move. What it does not lack is wind — the tradewinds are constant and strong, and they dictate the engineering on every outdoor build.
Practically, that means tenting and structures are specified for sustained wind rather than gusts, fabric and drape choices avoid anything that will sail, floral and suspended elements are secured well beyond what an inland venue would need, and open-flame or lightweight décor is either weighted or replaced. We would rather redesign an element than watch it fail at golden hour.
The venue mix is concentrated along Palm Beach and Eagle Beach high-rise and low-rise resorts, with a handful of private villas and beach clubs. Resort load-in is straightforward by island standards — real docks, service corridors and cooperative in-house teams — but house electrical service still is not sized for a full production load, so generator power and our own distribution are standard.
